Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Digitalgrub India Private Limited collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use DG Invoice Maker.

Effective and last updated: July 28, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the DG Invoice Maker Android application, package ID com.digitalgrub.dginvoicemaker, and the services used to operate it. By using the app, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

DG Invoice Maker is a business record and invoicing tool. It does not process card payments, transfer money, or act as a bank or payment service. Payment information entered in the app is used only for record keeping and invoice presentation.

2. Information we collect

We collect information that you provide or generate while using the app:

  • Account information: your name, email address, password, email-verification status, and authentication credentials. Passwords are handled in protected form; the app does not display your password after registration.
  • Business profile information: business name, logo, contact details, website, address, tax registration details, currency, invoice settings, payment terms, and invoice notes.
  • Payment display details: optional bank name, account holder name, account number, bank code, UPI ID, or PayPal email that you choose to place in your business profile or invoices.
  • Business records: customer and supplier details, products and services, invoices, purchases, expenses, taxes, payment records, references, due dates, notes, and transaction history.
  • Files and content: a business logo selected through the system image picker and invoice or report documents generated at your request.
  • Technical information: IP address, request time, app and operating-system information, error details, and security logs that may be generated when the app communicates with our servers.

The app does not request precise location, contacts, microphone, SMS, call-log, or broad device-storage access. It does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create, authenticate, and manage your account.
  • Store and synchronize your business records across app sessions.
  • Create, display, download, email, and share invoices and reports.
  • Calculate totals, taxes, balances, expenses, and business insights.
  • Maintain app reliability, diagnose errors, and protect accounts.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests.
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our legal rights.

We do not sell personal information and do not use your invoice, customer, supplier, or payment-record data for targeted advertising.

4. When information is shared

Information may be shared only in the following circumstances:

  • At your direction: when you choose to email an invoice, open WhatsApp, or use Android's share menu, the selected information is sent to the recipient or third-party app you choose. Their privacy policies then apply.
  • Service providers: with hosting, data storage, email-delivery, security, and technical-support providers that process information for us and are expected to protect it.
  • Legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable government requests, or to protect users, the public, or our rights.
  • Business changes: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy protections.

5. Storage and security

App data is transmitted to our service using HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored using Android-protected secure storage. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your password and device secure and for limiting sensitive information entered into free-text fields.

6. Data retention

We retain account and business information while your account is active and as needed to provide DG Invoice Maker. We may retain limited records for a reasonable period when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backup integrity, or legal and regulatory obligations.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Residual copies may remain temporarily in encrypted or access-controlled backups until those backups are overwritten through the normal backup cycle.

7. Delete your account and data

You may request permanent deletion of your DG Invoice Maker account and its associated data at any time. Email us from the address registered to your account with the subject "Delete DG Invoice Maker Account". Include only the registered email address needed to identify the account.

We may ask you to verify account ownership before completing the request. After verification, we will delete or anonymize your account and associated business records, except information that must be retained for the limited reasons described in the Data retention section. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
